Photo in AM Newspaer by RJ Miceklson

Last Sunday while vending in Soho on Spring Street between Wooster and Greene I had the good fortune to be visited by RJ Mickelson, senior photographer for AM Newspaper, New York's daily giveaway available all over the city. RJ photographed my display from an unusual angle, shooting from behind the window screen I use to show the glasses. He picked the Ultimate Tropical Fantasy with a Hawaiian theme, palm tree and large, colorful fruit magnets. Too bad the picture is only in black and white, but you can see these glasses in color starting the YouTube vid for Fantasy Sunglasses.

Zazie Je Suis Un Homme French and English Subitles

Aside from decorating sunglasses, it's been a hobby of mine to import songs from France and bring translated versions with illustrative videos to the English speaking world. This is one we should know about. It was a hit for Zazie in 2007.

Arts and Crafts in the Open Air, Soho New York

I've begun this blog to provide a worldwide display for a line of novelty original handicrafts that are usually on display when the weather's nice on Spring Street in Soho, New York. People are always asking me, "Do you have a website," but up till now, I haven't tried to build one. You can find me at Etsy.com under the username "blitzknitz" and sometimes on Ebay, but most of my business is at a vending display in Soho.
Soho is a mecca for tourists all over the world, so there are always a lot people taking pictures. I carry a point and shoot camera at all times, and am happy and flattered when photographed to be somebody's memento of a trip to New York, be it amateur or professional such as Amy Arbus, daughter of the the late Diane Arbus who covered my glasses for her Village Voice column August 22, 1989.
The little hula girls on these flag ship decorated sunglasses have been discontinued by their manufacturer but a few still remain and are for sale for $25 plus $5.65 priority shipping in the US, outside please e-mail me a lightning494@gmail.com.
